The IBBI (Internet Band Boosters International) website is a discussion area for anyone interested in K12 (Kindergarten through grade 12) Band, Orchestra, Choir or Elementary Music Boosters.  Boosters are generally parents of music students, directors, or members or past members of high school booster clubs that support public school music education programs.  Parents who no longer have children in K12 are especially welcome because we value your experience.

This list is PRIVATE but UNRESTRICTED.  Any message sent to the list is automatically forwarded to everyone on the list.  While we in no way want to stifle free discussion, as list owners we reserve the right to step in if a flame war erupts that becomes tedious for other subscribers, or if someone becomes unseemly (any use of profanity, for instance).

If you have a personal message for someone, please send it to their address, not to the entire distribution list.  Any mail sent to

will automatically be sent to everyone on the distribution list provided you are a registered member of the list.

*** HOW TO SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE ***

TO SUBSCRIBE to the BOOSTERS list, fill out the on-line questionnaire and submit the information to the moderator.  We ask you to include basic information about yourself and your organization so that we can help others recognize where you are from and your involvement with local music programs.  You do not HAVE to complete all the information nor will we release E-Mail Addresses to anyone without your permission.  We DO require some basic information in an attempt to screen commercial operations from our list.

 This information is collected for non-commercial purposes and your e-mail address will not appear in the messages sent to the group (unless you specifically include it in your message) or on our website. 

TO UNSUBSCRIBE from the list, send your request to Boosters-Request@seadeo.com and include the word unsubscribe in the BODY of the message (not the subject line).  You will receive a confirmation when you are removed from the list.  Please be patient - if the moderator is out of town, it may take a few days to remove you from the list!

*** TO POST A MESSAGE TO THE LIST ***

To post a message to the list, send your e-mail to BOOSTERS@seadeo.com. You must be a registered member of the list to post messages.  Junk e-mail and non-band related messages are filtered and will not be posted to the Boosters-list.

All messages will automatically have the letters [BandB] added to the front of the subject line so that you can filter Booster-list related material from your regular e-mail messages.

*** CHANGING HOW YOU RECEIVE YOUR MAIL*****

Digest or Immediate Mail Modes

Normally, all messages send to the booster list are immediately forwarded to the members.  You can, however, set your address up such that all messages received during the day are forwarded to you as a single attachment (a DIGEST of information).  To set your address up to receive a daily digest (currently sent at midnight), include the following line in the BODY of your message to webmaster@IBBI.seadeo.net:

          SET BOOSTERS DIGEST
         
To go back to regular mail mode, send the command:

          SET BOOSTERS NODIGEST
